The development of decentralized organizations has led society to rethink the structures and methods of managing organizations and capital. DAOs, as a more transparent and fair model, continue to attract not only the interest of users, but also capital.

{% hint style="info" %}
*Today, the Web3 ecosystem has thousands of DAOs, millions of participants, and treasuries worth tens of billions of dollars. (source: DeepDAO.io). The largest DAOs (Uniswap, Aave, Lido) manage protocols with a capitalization of billions of dollars.*

The decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) market is experiencing a phase of rapid growth and institutionalization. According to industry data, in 2024 the DAO development market volume was estimated at $170 million. This growth is driven by increasing awareness of the advantages of decentralized management in areas such as decentralized finance (DeFi), venture capital, social media, and the creative economy. In addition, the total volume of venture capital and direct investor investments in Web3 projects amounted to approximately **$87.2 billion in October 2025**, demonstrating the sustained confidence of institutional investors in this model. By way of comparison, the total value of assets managed by the treasuries of all DAOs (Total Value Locked, TVL) exceeded **$40 billion** at the beginning of 2025, but by the end of the year this figure had risen to **$120 billion**.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Forecasts:** *By 2031, it is expected to grow to $333 million at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.3%. DAOs are becoming the infrastructure for marketplaces, DePIN/DeFi, the creator economy, and public goods financing.*
{% endhint %}

#### The Legality of DAOs: The World Recognizes a New Format

The DAO LLC legal form is already in use in the US (Wyoming, Tennessee, Utah), the Marshall Islands offers DAO LLCs, and Switzerland and the Cayman Islands use associations and foundations for the legal registration of DAOs. DAOs are not a "gray" tool, but a recognized method of collective capital management.
