# 6.1 Why DAO?

Decentralized organizations have already proven themselves to be transparent structures with the most equitable governance model. And although DAOs may face consensus issues when making key decisions, technological developments will contribute to improvements in this area, creating more and more reasons to abandon the outdated, centralized governance model.
